A Book About MeIf I were to write a book about me, I'd call it "Goofie." I would start by telling the readers about my younger days. I would tell them I was very tiny and long, and that I did a lot of hiding in the closet. I would write about the time that I hid in the closet and no one found me. That would make them look hard. Next, I would write about the way I am today. I would say that I enjoy latchhooking and embroidery, and that I would rather not sleep my day away. I would explain that my favorite things in the world are latchhooking, my friends and ceramics. Then I would write about my future plans. Someday I would like to go to college. I would tell my readers that if I had one wish it would be to see all my nieces grow up. I hope that when my readers finish my book, they would think of me as a very happy person.
ReadingThis book I am reading is a little bit of a struggle. I am starting to see what the title means in my life. Everyone struggles a little, all the time. I guess what I am saying is that when you struggle, that is when you begin to learn. That is the way it happened to me, and I know it is different for everyone. Students, good luck this year. I hope to spread my knowledge to people who need to start at the beginning. When I became a student at ABE Learning Center, if you had showed me a letter, I would say, "a." You are thinking, why? Because I had memorized the alphabet song and A was the first letter in the song. My tutor was showing me a letter I thought was A. In reality it was another letter. I give applause to you. Good luck to all of you that are beginning, and those who are giving this their all, both old and new students.
