Tip 17: The Dice Game
Purpose:To have
students practice writing numbers 1-100 or the alphabet in order. Fun
warm-up.
Preparation Time: none
Materials: 2 dice, a pen, paper for each learner
Preparation:none
Procedure:
- Give each learner a piece of paper.
- Have one student begin rolling the
dice. As soon as he or she gets doubles, they should pick up the
pen and start writing numbers 1-100 or the alphabet.
- As soon as the first person starts
writing, the next person should start rolling the dice. When he/she
gets doubles, he should take the pen from the first person and start
writing. At this point, the next person takes the dice and begins
rolling.
- Continue until someone gets to 100 or Z
before someone else rolls doubles.
